For more than 30 years, Sagesse has empowered individuals, organizations and communities to disrupt structures of abuse by curating environments to heal and develop skills to lead safe, healthy lives. We work in more than 75 communities across Alberta – either directly providing services or partnering with agencies to help deliver our programs. Our work includes direct service programs, capacity building and education and collective impact: 

  • Peer support groups and mentorship for women who have experienced domestic abuse, are at risk of being abused, or are involved in the intersection of domestic abuse and sex work.
  • Capacity-building workshops about the experience of domestic abuse within 2SLGBTQ+ communities. 
  • Education of informal support networks about how to recognize domestic abuse, respond (based on the situation), and refer to the appropriate supports. 
  • The backbone agency for the Calgary Domestic Violence Collective (CDVC) and IMPACT, a provincial collective impact initiative.

We are seeking an Innovation Implementation Coordinator to join our team. The position requires a skilled communicator and knowledge translator who can mobilize their project management skills to effectively implement both quality improvement and new initiatives across the organization. The successful candidate is a dependable self-starter who can juggle multiple tasks, thrives in an innovative environment, and demonstrates versatility as part of a dynamic team. 

 Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in social science or related field required  
  • Project Management experience and/or credentials 
  • Education or experience related to knowledge translation  
  • Experience as a researcher in workplace and/or academic settings 
  • Ability to create rapport with communities, partner organizations and colleagues  
  • Must like to communicate dynamically in individual and group settings 
  • Passionate about building capacity and collaboration in communities across Alberta  
  • Thrives as a member of a collaborative, fast-paced team  
  • Engages in curiosity and vulnerability (Brene Brown) 
  • Experience operationalizing equity and fostering belonging  

 Roles & Responsibilities 

 Project Implementation/Management 

  • Breaks down projects into feasible deliverables and timelines  
  • Balances multiple ongoing projects and changing priorities 
  • Creates role clarity and delegates effectively 
  • Develops processes to ensure that program operators and community partners have what they need 

Knowledge Translation 

  • Approaches knowledge translation as a relational, capacity building activity and not as a fidelity focused activity 
  • Ensures program operators and community partners engage in knowledge sharing 
  • Promotes open communication and a culture of feedback for constant improvement 

 Program Administration 

  • Attend all supervision and staff meetings 
  • Share learnings and insights with Sagesse Team 
  • Report on monthly activities and statistics
