About Sagesse

Sagesse empowers people of all backgrounds to disrupt the structure of abuse by curating environments to heal and develop tools to lead safe, healthy lives. With innovation as our programming cornerstone, Sagesse offers peer support groups and intervention for anyone impacted by domestic abuse, including people who are at risk of being abused, informally support others, or are involved in sex work. We also offer capacity building workshops designed to increase societal understanding of abuse, and partner with organizations, systems and individuals across Alberta.

We believe everyone has a role to play in ending abuse. By working together, educating individuals, and holding ourselves accountable, we can make large-scale change to the discourse around violence and ultimately stop violence before it escalates.

With this in mind Sagesse works as the backbone organization for Calgary Domestic Violence Collective and IMPACT.
