We are seeking a Client Support Associate to join our team. The position requires strength in client  and volunteer support alongside the ability to support program development, delivery, and evaluation. The successful candidate is a dependable self-starter who can juggle multiple tasks, thrives in a fast-moving environment, and demonstrates versatility as part of a dynamic team.

Sagesse empowers people of all backgrounds to disrupt structures of abuse through curating environments to heal and lead safe, healthy lives. With innovation as our programming cornerstone, Sagesse works for anyone who has experienced domestic abuse, including people who are at risk of being abused, informally support others, or are involved in sex work.

We work in more than 50 communities across Alberta – either directly providing service or partnering with agencies to deliver programs on our behalf. We are also the backbone agency for the Calgary Domestic Violence Collective and Alberta’s provincial IMPACT initiative.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Engages in curiosity and vulnerability (Brené Brown)
  • Acts, learns, and makes decisions through cross‐sectional, gender transformative and intersectional lenses
  • Thrives as a member of a collaborative, fast paced team
  • Diploma or Degree in Social Work (or equivalent)
  • Registered Social Worker (or equivalent)
  • Two years’ of experience considered an asset

Role & Responsibilities

Client Services

  • Client support, advocacy, system navigation, referrals, and follow-up support
  • Act as primary contact for volunteer support and supervision
  • Client group and/or individual support maintenance
  • Support program development, delivery and quality improvement for all client-related activities
  • Clinical support for agency volunteers as needed
  • Provide Clare’s Law Referrals to partnership network
  • Complete Domestic Violence Screening Tool with clients
  • Complete Feedback Informed Treatment (FIT) check-ins and ongoing support with clients

Community Development and Collaboration

  • Identify areas of systemic barriers for communities/clients and opportunities for social action
  • Participate in community bodies to address systemic barriers and promote Sagesse programs at the direction of agency leadership

Program Administration

  • Maintain client files
  • Report on monthly activities and client statistics
  • Provide information, as necessary, for development of funding proposals and reports
  • Administrative program support as requested by supervisors
  • All other duties as required
