This website is the property of Sagesse Domestic Violence Prevention Society (Sagesse). All content presented on this site is owned by Sagesse, and may not be copied, used or presented without our written consent.

This page outlines how we collect, use and disclose your data when you are on our site. By using our website, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

Data Collection

Personal Data
While using our site, we may ask you to provide us with certain personally identifiable information which may include your name, address or email address. This collection is solely for the purposes of getting in touch with you or logging your feedback. You are not required at any time to share this information to use the site. You may withdraw your consent at anytime and ask for any collected materials to be deleted by emailing info@sagesse.org. 

Your personal information will not be shared with a third party without your written permission, except in the following situations:

  • If an individual is at risk of suicide.
  • If an individual is at risk to harm others.
  • If a child has or is experiencing abuse or is at risk of abuse.
  • If required by law.

Comments
When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Chat, SMS or Texting

Users may get in touch with Sagesse through text or by using the chat option at the bottom of our website. All replies to your texts will be initiated by a Sagesse staff member or supervised volunteer. You can opt out of continuing the conversation by closing the chat window, or texting “STOP” at any time. 

Embedded content from other websites
Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.
