• 37.5 hours/week, July and August 2022   
  • $18.60 per hour 
  • This is a Calgary-based hybrid position; in-office meetings will be required

About Sagesse 

For more than 30 years, Sagesse has empowered individuals, organizations and communities to disrupt structures of abuse by curating environments to heal and develop skills to lead safe, healthy lives. With innovation as our programming cornerstone, we work for anyone who has experienced domestic abuse, including people who are at risk of being abused, informally support others, or are involved in sex work.    

We work in more than 50 communities across Alberta – either directly providing services or partnering with agencies to deliver programs on our behalf. This work includes intervention and prevention activities including peer support, capacity building and collective impact. 

Our philosophy is to engage in curious, fierce conversations and collaborations and we see this as a path to ending domestic abuse. 

Qualifications 

  • Must be able to work both in-person (Calgary office) and remotely in a fast-paced, self-directed environment. 
  • Experience with event planning or event support.  
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, exceptional attention to detail and ability to prioritize. 
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. 
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and other office technology. 

Roles & Responsibilities 

Event Coordination 

  • Liaising with vendors and venue(s). 
  • Tracking cost estimates and spend. 
  • Updating the event workback plan. 
  • Researching potential talent/performers. 
  • Creation of event schedules and checklists. 

 Communications 

  • Working with the Communications Associate and Relationship Coordinator in the creation and execution of the marketing plan.
